A happy little green haven right near Old Town! Wonderful selection of plants (including some unique ones) and the kindest, most helpful owners you’ll ever meet! Not only can you purchase plants here, but they will re-pot, help diagnose plant-problems, and give guidance on how to best care for your plant. LOVE Stem and Roots!

Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff with great taste in music. They did a wonderful job finding a suitable pot and repotting my new plant into its new home.

Absolutely loved my experience at Stem and Roots! The store felt welcoming, vibrant, and the plant selection was amazing. What I really liked was the staff - they genuinely know their stuff and are happy to help without being pushy. Hachi in particular was amazing—super knowledgeable, patient, and gave me great advice tailored to my individual space and lighting setup, which made me feel confident about my purchases. If you’re a plant lover, this place is a must visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

What a fun little project to do for an afternoon: terrarium building! Great prices too! I made 2 large terrariums, one with an isopod colony, for less than $100! The decorations and workstation area are so fun! I brought my mom in and had a blast using all the decorations to make the little terrariums! The staff are really nice and knowledgeable too! I highly recommend to check this place out if you want a fun craft to do or if you’re looking for indoor plant supplies!

I can't say enough about how much I love this store! They take time to hand pick plants every week, they go on Tuesday if you want to see new plants on Wednesday! They have every house plant you can think of with everything else you could possibly need to care for it. I once wanted a second fern for my mom and they took the time to order one for me and got it in a week. They also have a vast knowledge base on everything plant so every dumb question I have they answer so kindly. Its not just the plants though! The people are really what make this store shine. All three owners are hands on and really care about their store, products, and customers. The other employees are also just the kindest people who always take the time to get excited about plants with you and never make you feel rushed. Hachi makes beautiful handmade isopod homes for the terrariums you can make in store and it makes the experience even more personalized. I would recommend this store to anyone visiting Fort Collins or who just need a fun place to browse and talk plants.
